I'm ONE YEAR OLD today

As the title suggests, i turn ONE today.

"I have always like dogs, big or small, but i have never thought that i could LOVE one this much. It was love at first sight. Wenfeng's (Kopii's Dardy) mum have never liked dogs, finding them dirty and noisy. Despite us wanting to have one, we could never have because of his Mum's disapproval. One day, Wenfeng tagged me in a new puppy's photo posted by Wellfond Pets Katong. Immediately, i fell in love with the silly face of her. We knew that we want her. so, the coercing starts, Wenfeng started asking his Mum for approval. Despite her ignoring his first few requests, she finally gave in and allowed us to have a dog. That very evening, we went down to Wellfond Pets to get her. That's how our journey with Kopii started...... Initially i was kinda worried as having a pets equals to commitment. We have to bath her, keep her clean and healthy, spend time with her etc etc. But eventually, everything becomes natural, it has never been a chore to look after Kopii because its a natural thing to look after and look out for your family members. Kopii is part of our family, so naturally we give the best we could to her. I had always thought i like dogs. In fact, I LOVE KOPII. that much that i could never imagine me to be. Life has changed because of her. There's more laughter, more love, more smiles. KOPII, Happy First Birthday. We love You.!!!! - Momma " 

This is what Momma felt about me.
Well, of course, a pretty and naughty girl like me is bound to be a bundle of joy.

I was born to my Doggy Parents on 19 July 2013.

I stayed with them for a short period and soon i was on the plane coming to Singapore.

I do not have any photos of me when i was young as there wasn't anyone to take photos of me.

Today, i turn ONE, that's 7 years old in human.
I hope Momma did not enroll me for Primary School. I rather spend my days idling around and being goofy.

Just mid last week, Momma told me that she is not bringing me out to any Pets Cafe to celebrate my birthday as she used the money to get 80 goodies bags for the shelter dogs at Mutts and Mittens. Even though i was happy that the shelter dogs can feel special on my special day, I am praying hard that i will still get a birthday cake and presents though.

I woke up slightly later this morning as i knew its a Saturday and usually Dardy and Momma wakes up later on weekends.  I was surprised to see Momma waking up at 8am. She woke up real excited and told me that i can skip my standard breakfast and have something special today. I was real happy to hear that as i hate my daily meals, i only eat them to stay alive.
(PS: my standard daily meals consist of my Wellness Core Puppy Kibbles mixed with Brit Care Bits & Pates plus 2 pieces of Primal Frozen Raw Turkey & Sardine - It might seem sumptuous but i do not really like it.)

And so, i followed her in and out of the kitchen while she is preparing my special Birthday Meal.

My Special Birthday Meal

Heart Shaped Pork Meat Patty, Carrots Fries, Salad and a Fried Egg.

When Momma is done cooking, i cant wait to tuck in but she thought otherwise, she wanted me to take some pictures posing with this scary looking silvery cone thingy. I obliged in exchange for my meal that smells heavenly.

Heh Heh.

FINALLY! Momma took enough photos to fill an album and she asked me to the kitchen to have my meal.

To my horror... When i am in the kitchen, i was asked to pose with my meal. WALAU EH.

I cant take it anymore so i decided to ignore Momma's 'WAIT' command and help myself to my Birthday meal.

** NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM **

*BURP*

After having my birthday meal, i thought that's all i gonna have for my birthday. To think that Momma was telling me last night that she have a surprise for me. BOOOO. Feeling kinda disappointed, i went to play by myself in the room. After 1 over hour, i heard the doorbell rang!

I ran to the door to be a busybody and i saw a nice lady passing Dardy a few bags. hmmm. i wonder what it is. In order to find out what the bag contains, i stood around in the kitchen while Momma take the items out from the bag.

To my pleasant surprise, the bags actually contains my birthday cake (YAY!), a bag of treats specially baked for me (DOUBLE YAY!) and goodies bags for my doggy friends (TRIPLE YAY!).

Birthday Cake

My Birthday Cake is ordered specially for me. Jodie Jie Jie from TheDoggyBag customised the cake according to my preferences. It is a 2 tiered cake made with Salmon, with my name spelt out with cookies at the side. There are 3 mini balloons at the top of the cake spelling out ONE, complete with a photo strip of Me & my parent's photos at the base.

Treats
Momma ordered some bags of treats for me. As i have quite a weak tummy, Momma requests for it to be grain free and Jodie Jie Jie took great effort to ensure there is no grains in my treats.

Apart from the awesome cake, Momma ordered a box of Chicken Flavoured Pumpkin donuts for me too.

Like the usual humans birthday, there gonna be some (many) pictures of Birthday Girl with her Birthday Cake.

Momma ordered me a goodie bag too.

Inside my Goodies Bag has got a bag of Carrot and Spinach crackers, a pack of Berry Daisies, a pack of Beef Paws, a pack of Coconut Bone cookies and a toy.

One word to describe it all : AWESOME

Being a thoughtful Momma, apart from getting me an awesome goodies bag, she ordered 4 other goodies bags for my friends too. YAY!

After many pose for Momma to take photos of, she decides that its finally time for me to have my cake and eat it too. *slurp* While she was cutting my cake, i send her signals to cut me a bigger piece, best is if she could just give the whole cake to me. To my dismay, she gave me only half of the top tier. Awwwww..

Half better than nothing lah.

Awesome! I just know that even though with no celebration, i will still get the best things ever for im always my Parent's BEST GIRL EVER!

After my Momma pack my birthday presents into my cupboard, she helped me don on my nicest top (that's the only one i have, a souvenir from Julie) and we are off to Momma's place to play.

When we arrived at Momma's place, i played a while with Granny and Momma's sister. Less than 30 mins, i am dead bushed that i climbed onto Momma's bed and took a nap to recharge.

CAN LET ME SLP ANOT?! THE CAMERA SHUTTER SOUND IS DISTURBING ME!

I took a short 30 min power nap and i woke up to continue playing.

Around 3 plus, Dardy put my harness back on me and Momma told me that we are going for a swim at U Petgamart! YAY! its been almost a month since my last swim.

Did not really enjoy my swim today.

When i arrived at the pool, there were 2 smaller dogs there. A Japanese Spitz and a Corgi. i wanted to play with them and share my toys with them but i do not know why the both of them kept barking at me when i goes near, their owner seems to not like me going near them too. Momma sensed the situation and we left the pool after less than 30 minutes. :(

Despite me not having fun at the pool, i still felt extremely happy today. That's how birthday should be, no?
Birthday is a special day that should be spent celebrating, making merry, eating great food and having fun. I did all of it. Im a Happy Girl, a very Happy Best Girl Ever. :P
